WE MOVE

While studying at Central Saint Martins, I had the opportunity to organize a series of individual shows at the Platform Theatre. This special event spanned three days, from May 12 to May 15, 2022, featuring two performances daily. KC Gardener, a talented performer, played a pivotal role in bringing my vision to life on stage.

In this show, I unveiled a dynamic costume, an embodiment of innovation and costume. Central to the performance was a dress uniquely embedded with magnets. As the performer moved, the magnets interacted, creating a fluid dance of attraction and repulsion. This interaction not only highlighted my movements but also ensured the dress gracefully returned to its original form.

The setting of the show was as crucial as the costume itself. The lighting and sound were tailored to evoke the ambiance of a high-fashion runway. It was a performance within a performance, transforming the stage into a catwalk, where the spotlight was on the magnetic costume.

This show was my personal exploration of the fusion between costume and performance. Inspired by classic runway presentations, it was a celebration of movement, fluidity, and the art of costume design.
